Mr. Evan is a passionate and dedicated English educator with over 12 years of experience in the field of English language teaching and learning. Having taught across a wide range of academic levels — from primary and lower secondary students all the way to SPM, IGCSE, and Cambridge Checkpoint candidates — Mr. Evan brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and genuine enthusiasm to every class he conducts.
Mr. Evan specialises in English language education, with a particular focus on SPM English and IGCSE English as a Second Language. His teaching approach is deeply skill-based, equipping students with practical strategies in narrative writing, guided writing, report writing, reading comprehension, and examination readiness. Rather than relying solely on conventional teaching methods, Mr. Evan is well known for his interactive and engaging style, frequently incorporating gamification, creative activities, and technology-driven tools to make learning both dynamic and enjoyable. Through these methods, he cultivates confidence, critical thinking, and clear communication in every student he teaches, empowering them to excel not only academically but also personally.
Beyond his work as a classroom educator, Mr. Evan is an accomplished teacher trainer and lecturer with extensive experience across both secondary and tertiary institutions. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) TESL from Quest International University and a Master in Teaching and Learning (English) from Taylor's University — a testament to his commitment to professional growth and excellence in English language education. He is also an HRDCorp Accredited Trainer, further reflecting his dedication to developing not only students but fellow educators as well.

Ms. Jayne is an experienced English educator who has taught students across primary, secondary and pre-university levels. Her experience spans a wide range of local and international curricula and examinations, including the Malaysian KSSR and KSSM syllabuses, Cambridge Primary and Lower Secondary Checkpoint, IGCSE First Language English and English as a Second Language, PSLE, SAT and IELTS.
Known for her structured yet encouraging teaching approach, Ms. Jayne helps students understand exactly how to improve rather than simply memorising model answers. Her lessons strengthen students’ writing, reading comprehension, critical thinking and examination skills while helping them become more confident and independent users of English.
Beyond teaching students, Ms. Jayne is also involved in teacher training and professional development. Through Evan Jayne English, she is committed to providing purposeful, supportive and effective English education that helps every learner make meaningful progress.
BEYOND REGULAR CLASSES
A hands-on writing workshop designed to encourage students to explore ideas, develop their writing skills and express themselves more creatively through words.
Our online English classes are designed for students aged 7–13, with lessons matched to each student’s English proficiency level.
Our core programme follows the Singapore English syllabus, with a strong focus on PSLE preparation. We also welcome students following other syllabuses, including UASA, SPM, IGCSE and Cambridge Checkpoint, with lessons tailored according to the student’s proficiency level.
Our lessons cover all four core English skills — reading, writing, listening and speaking. We also work on areas such as grammar, vocabulary and comprehension according to each student’s learning needs.
Classes are conducted online via Zoom or Google Meet and Google Classroom. Lessons incorporate interactive and technology-integrated activities, including gamified learning tools, to keep students engaged while learning English.
Each lesson is approximately 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, with 4 classes per month.
Before joining, your child can complete a 45-minute live placement test with a teacher. This helps us understand their current English proficiency and recommend a suitable learning level.
